PHYSICS SCHEME OF PRACTICAL EXAMINATION
General Instructions to Students about Practical
1).          Make the best use of the time available for performing the experiments.
2).           Come prepared with the procedure of the experiment.
3).          Bring the geometrical instruments, a notebook and journal.
4).           Handle the apparatus carefully.
5).           Draw accurate, labelled and medium size diagrams in the journal.
6)           Complete the observations, calculations, results and get it checked by the teacher before leaving the laboratory.
7)              Try to complete the journal on the same day at the time of practical.
PROCEDURE TO WRITE JOURNAL
1) Write date on which the experiment is performed, name and roll number of student, title and experiment number clearly.
2)    Write the aim of the experiment.
3)    List the apparatus used in the experiment.
4)    Write theory of experiment in short.
5)    The formula used to calculate de result should be explained with significance of symbols.
6)   Describe the procedure of the experiment.
7)   Write the readings in a tabular form and avoid overwriting.
8)   Substitute the values obtained in the calculation table to calculate the result.
9)   Use logarithmic table for calculations.
10)  Write the results with symbol, description and unit.
11)  Write the precautions taken in the experiment.
